Behavorial Optometry
Behavioral optometry recognizes that vision
is an ever changing process that is learned and directly affects
how we think, how we solve problems and even how we feel.
The way we see influences all our daily interactions with
our families, friends and peers. Behavioral optometry is concerned
with not just what you see, but how you see, and how efficiently
you use your eyes. We treat the total person and we look at
how your visual system functions, emphasizing prevention,
education and remediation.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy enhances child development,
minimizes potential delays, resolves existing problems and
promotes family education. The occupation of a child is primarily
play and it is through the use of purposeful activities presented
as play that the occupational therapist evaluates and treats
the senses and motor abilities of the child to enhance development
and improve coordination between the brain and the body.
Speech and Language Therapy
Communication is vital to life. Speaking,
listening, reading, writing and gesturing connect us to what
we value most, family, friends, work, school and recreation.
Many conditions can sometimes interfere with the ability to
communicate. After a comprehensive assessment, a treatment
program can be developed and implemented in collaboration
with the individual, family and other professionals.
