Summer Learning Camp
June 21 - August 20
Ages 3 - 12

TLTC's Summer Learning Camp is a comprehensive program designed to enhance, maintain and support skills learned throughout the year. Therapies provided throughout the camp program include vision, occupational and speech and language therapy along with support programming including recreation therapy, social skills training, handwriting skills training, reading and math tutoring. Students may attend full day or partial day programming. A screening with one of our therapist is required for campers new to TLTC.

Camp meets for three 3-week sessions:

Session I: June 21 - July 9

Typical Daily Activities
Circle Time/Orientation to the Day, Sensorimotor Games, Handwriting/Pre-Handwriting Activities, Journal Writing, Language Skills, Snack, Craft, Vision Games, Lunch *Meal Prep, Social Skills, Manners), Visual Motor Activity, Special Guest Projects, Individualized Programs of Academic Tutoring, Theme-Based Science Experiment, Wrap-up

Summer groups meet for 6 weeks from June 21 - July 30. Groups meet back to back for ease of programming.

Boost Your Skills
August 2 - 20

Boost Your Skills Weeks are designed to bridge Summer enrichment programs and the beginning of the school year. Staff at TLTC is dedicated to assisting students in practicing and maintaining skills for ease of transition back to school.

Schedule for August Boost Your Skills Weeks is exactly the same as the Summer Group Schedule.
Students may register for one, two or three weeks of classes.

 


Creative Arts Camp
August 2 - 20

Join TLTC staff and guest specialists in creative arts programming including creative cooking activities, Art and Heart painting and drawing, and therapeutic movement and yoga.

Groups will be arranged according to age and ability. Girls and boys ages 3 - 10 are welcome to register. Space is limited. Register early.

Aug 2 - 6: Kitchen Creations

Aug 9 - 13: Art and Heart

Aug 16 - 20: Movement and Yoga

Summer Learning Camp Fees
Full Day (9-3:30 pm)
$3600 - Three sessions (9 weeks)
$2400 - Two sessions (6 weeks)
$1200 - One session (3 weeks)

Partial Day (9-1pm or 11:30-3:30)
$2400 - Three sessions (9 weeks)
$1600 - Two sessions (6 weeks)
$800 - One session (3 weeks)

Summer Group Fees
Fees for all 6-week Summer Group classes:
$30-1x/week, $600-2x/week, $900-3x/week, $1200-4x/week
Register for 3 or more classes & receive a 15% discount.

Boost Your Skills Weeks Fees
Each class is $50 for 1x/week, $100 for 2x/week and $150 for 3x/week. Register for 3 or more classes for 3 weeks and receive a 15% discount. Register siblings and receive 15% off the second and each additional child.

Creative Arts Camp

Ages 3 -10
Fee: $300/week

Registration is required for all programs along with a $100 non-refundable deposit to be applied to program fee.

 

 

  Summer Group Program Descriptions
 

The EDGE Learning System - Enhancing Development for Gains in Education
This group will enhance your child’s motor, speech, reading, math, social and visual skills to improve grades, performance and self-esteem. All groups are designed by professionals for maximum learning effect.  

 

Sports EDGE          
This group will enhance tracking movements, eye, hand and body coordination, reaction speed, peripheral awareness and visualization skills necessary for excelling in sports.  

 

Reading EDGE
Improve reading fluency and comprehension in this 45-minute group. Reading skills are improved with proven-effective tracking and computer games.

Emotion in Motion - Sensory-Motor Groups
Children will benefit from this 45-minute weekly program incorporating creative arts and yoga principles. A variety of materials will be used to facilitate the connection between sensation and emotional regulation. Emphasis on breath control, rhythm and posture will also improve organizational, sensory processing and social skills.

 

The Social EDGE
Sessions focus on improving social skills of students through interactive activities in a therapeutic environment. Groups are arranged according to peer age and individual needs. Activities focus on developing play skills, language and communication skills, body language, sensorimotor skills, controlling emotions and social flexibility.

 

   

Handwriting Without Tears
This multi-sensory approach to developing and enhancing handwriting skills appeals to children with all kinds of learning styles – visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic. The unique materials and creative workbooks assist to eliminate programs with letter formation, reversals, legibility, spacing and cursive connections.

 

Special Parties for Special Kids

Therapeutic themed parties include sensory activities, fine and gross motor games, social skills & language facilitation while having fun!
