We had the good fortune of finding TLTC after our son had completed the Birth to Three program and was not receiving any of the Doctor prescribed therapy through the Public preschool system. I still recall his first visit when he laid on the floor and was hesitant to go in the Sensory room. That was the beginning of his burst of confidence and learning path with the help of Miss Maybette and Miss Stefanie. Jacob received weekly speech and OT and participated in the Social Skills group. We had many professionals raise many concerns about our son's ability to communicate and make eye contact. Miss Maybette put many of our fears to rest immediately and truly focused on bringing out Jacob's natural abilities through work and play. Miss Stefanie helped Jacob to tune his motor skills and stay focused; as these were elemental to his being able to better use language. She taught us many techniques to use at home and offered many suggestions for his teachers so that he could focus and be part of the group activities. Our son went from a previous misdiagnosis to a thriving and confident Kindergartener who is reading at above-level. We could not be more thankful and proud of how hard he worked and of Miss Maybette and Miss Stefanie for their belief in him and seeing such great potential. They have truly equipped him with life-skills and helped him to make permanent changes through their therapeutic efforts. They were always available to us for questions and concerns and went out of their way to provide materials that applied to Jacob's challenges. They even visited the classroom to observe Hake in that environment. They are a true credit to their profession.

Thank you for all our hard work with Cecelia. You made vision therapy fun and motivating so Cecelia enjoyed coming every week. She is much more confident in her abilities. Your professionalism and kind demeanor were in perfect balance to help achieve Cecelia's progress.

When Taft first started with Total Learning and Therapy Center he was having extreme difficulty with reading, writing and overall self esteem. Taft was really hard on himself thinking that he was not smart, which certainly isn’t the case. Doing homework with him was brutal, for all of us. He would fight every night and it usually ended with one or both of us in tears. For years we worked with him, teachers worked with him and tested him for several different learning disabilities. No one could figure out what was going on, he had everyone stumped.
Finding Total Learning and Therapy Center has changed his life. Changed our lives. I can not express how grateful we are to have found Total Learning and Therapy and Ms.”D”. It is truly amazing how quickly his reading skills have improved, his attitude has changed, his confidence has been boosted, all in just 14 weeks. Taft did his therapy during the summer so he started 4th grade this year as a completely different kid. Ms. “D” has given Taft the tools, the key, the ability to unlock his “powers”, like a superhero. Your work is truly a gift. Thank you.
